It was yet another warm day in sunny California and Dmitry and I decided to take a little trip to the Santa Monica Pier. It might sound cheesy, yet ever since I was little, this place could always make me happy. The rides, games, cotton candy, photo booths, and a very much loved seafood soup in a hole in the wall restaurant, could make an otherwise mediocre day absolutely fabulous! I have those occasional days when all I want to do is lay on the couch and watch Mad Men on Netflix, yet I know that’s not the way to spend a weekend. So needless to say, when Dmitry agreed to take me to the Pier I was very much excited and somewhat relieved. I knew that if I stayed on the couch another half an hour, I would run out of episodes to watch, and we couldn’t have that. Anyway, we took some random shots, and this is where I realized that the hair which I had snipped 6 inches off of just two and a half months ago grew back and then some. I had my hair professionally straightened in the morning, so when I saw it on pictures I was shocked. I think reality hit when a little girl approached me and asked, “Is your hair real?” Yet I cannot seem to find the strength, will, or desire to cut it off. Go figure.
