Religion is definitely not a subject I much prefer to discuss with every Dick and Jane, yet I will never hide the fact that I do on occasion put my hands together, eyes closed, reciting gratitude and endless requests for I must have all that is offered in this world. Do I believe that there is a God? Absolutely! Do I believe that he is mine alone? Not at all. However, I do at times think…God must be really busy and with the war, child abuse, sexual slavery, etc. I am definitely not at the top of his list.
But let’s pretend there was an e-mail address and God read all the hopeful as well as hopeless letters that came in, would I have greater faith then? Would I then feel like my problem had a greater importance than originally imagined?
So…. Dear God at Dear-god.net. You completely cut me off guard. The site may providing an outlet for those who need their prayer to not only be whispered, but to be heard, but are you really listening? People, good and bad people gather here to talk to you. Are you there? You don’t reply and I swear it’s as if some schmuck is willing to sell a website since he no longer wants to be you. Did he think he’d make the site and we wouldn’t come? We came God! We wrote and we cried, did you answer? Or did you just stare at the screen in hopes that another loner will write a check to a name no one will remember, regarding a site no one will forget?
